CINEMA AND WE....!!!

Do we inspire the Cinema or Cinema inspires us....??                                          

Every time I watch a movie...I ask myself that Has the society inspired the movie or the movie will now inspire society...??
Every Friday a movie releases,people rush to the theaters to enjoy after the entire week of work.But every time we watch a movie,It is not the same sometimes the movie touch a deep chord down under that forces us to think.

Cinema and its people have always been an integral part of the Indian society.Irrespective of the place,people from every part of the society has been or has influenced the Cinema.

Lets jolt down some of the movies that affected the society

• "RANG DE BASANTI":This movie needs no introduction at all.A group of students protesting against the government.This film has left a huge and ever lasting impact on the youth to fight against corruption and bureaucracy. The Light March scene of the movie is still used by the society to protest against any issue.

• "LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI":This movie brought Gandhi bk in picture.People started applying all the Gandhigiri techniques to solve issues.People started using protests with Flowers as used in the movie.Not only in India,People used the protesting techniques in US too.

• "CHAK DE INDIA":This movie changed the entire outlook of people towards Women Hockey in India.And If I am not wrong not only women hockey,Sports itself gained back its popularity among the society.The title song has now taken place of Sports Anthem and played almost in all stadiums.

• "DIL CHAHTA HAI/ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA":Both of these movies have inspired our younger generation.Making Goa and Spain a popular destination among the lot to have fun with their group.

• "DANGAL":Nothing to say about this movie.A story based on the struggles of Mahavir Phogat and his Daughters to bring Gold Medal for their country in Wrestling inspired a major section of the society to fight against discrimination ad giving us more Geeta/Babitas.

There are a whole bunch of other movies too like "My Brothet Nikhil","Damini","Vicky Donor","Naayak","3 Idiots" that have some or the other way has a huge impact on the society and has forced people to change thier perspective.

Now It is not always that we get inspired by the society A lot of movies have actually been inspired by the society and its people.Ofcourse there are movies like Dangal ,M S Dhoni An Untold story,Bhaag Milka Bhaag,Neerja which were based on the lives of very special people who inspired the society

But there were some movies which showed about the society and what we are going through and everything like...

• "LAJJA":A film based on plight of Indian Women in different parts of the society.This movie has clearly depicted the restrictions on women and how they are treated among all sections of the society.

• "UDAAN":Udaan tells the story of thousands of youth from the middle class families,It is the story of most of the young people of the pain and breaking away all the barriers to achieve their dream.It is a movie that most people can relate to.

• "FASHION/CORPORATE/CHANDNI BAR":Movies of such kind have made the society to have a clear picture of these professions about how these sectors work,what are the challenges faced here,the darker side of these professions.

• "PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA":This movie needs no introduction at all.A film loved by the boys bringing the reality of relationship in the most humorous way.

These are just a handful of list,Of course it is not wrong to say this list can go on and on.Movies are much more than a source of entertainment to us.And the people related to this industry should really understand the power and hold they have in the society.And their one idea can actually change the way a society exists.
